Perceiving weight changes

For me it just depends on the story I am trying to tell. I like to dabble in all the different version of weight gain though I've been tending towards the more fantastical versions as of late.

Generally, if its a slower pace then its getting into all the little details and differences as they subtly present themselves and walking through how the characters perceive these changes as they manifest on themselves or others.

When its faster paced I think it becomes more about the immediate physical changes (clothes bursting, furniture reacting, etc.) as the characters often have less time to take in whats happening mentally.

But in the end I think with any story, the more detail the better regardless of gain speed. Getting into those niche weight gain descriptors and experiences can really help bring a story to life.

Perceiving weight changes

I try to describe in detail how under garments fit, mainly bikinis, especially on women, i.e. "a four inch roll of tummy fat bulged over the waist band of her bikini panty".

My male characters all wear briefs (as I do) to show off their gains.

Just some thoughts.
